Expression patterns and prognostic value of RUNX genes in kidney cancer

چکیده

Abstract Kidney cancer is the third most common malignancy of urinary system, which, kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC) accounts for vast majority. Runt-related transcription factors (RUNX) are involved in multiple cellular functions. However, diverse expression patterns and prognostic values RUNX genes remained to be elucidated. In our study, we mined DNA methylation, transcriptional survival data patients with different kinds through Oncomine, Gene Expression Profiling Interactive Analysis, UALCAN, Kaplan–Meier Plotter, cBioPortal LinkedOmics. We found that RUNX1 RUNX3 were upregulated KIRC tissues compared those normal tissues. The analysis results indicated a high level was associated poor overall (OS) patients. Furthermore, tumor had significantly lower levels promoter methylation than paracancerous tissues, decreased notably OS KIRC. conclusion, revealed may potential therapeutic target treating KIRC, shows promise as novel diagnostic biomarker, which laid foundation further study.

Evaluation of the Prognostic Value and TRIP13 gene Expression in Gastric Cancer

Introduction: Gastric cancer is a major public health issue worldwide. The factors that initiate cancer are not well understood, however aberrant expression of genes is associated with this cancer. TRIP13 plays pivotal roles in meiotic recombination, DNA repair, and cell cycle progression. An increasing body of evidence suggests that TRIP13 may possess functions other than meiosis and mitosis, ...

Identification of Prognostic Genes in Her2-enriched Breast Cancer by Gene Co-Expression Net-work Analysis

Introduction: HER2-enriched subtype of breast cancer has a worse prognosis than luminal subtypes. Recently, the discovery of targeted therapies in other groups of breast cancer has increased patient survival. The aim of this study was to identify genes that affect the overall survival of this group of patients based on a systems biology approach. Methods: Gene expression data and clinical infor...

Methylation and expression of RECK, P53 and RUNX genes in patients with esophageal cancer

The methylation and expression of RECK, P53 and RUNX genes in patients with esophageal cancer was investigated. In order to achieve this aim, a sample of 58 patients with esophageal cancer, treated between February 2013 and February 2014, were considered as the observation group. Additionally, a sample of 42 healthy individuals was selected as the control group. Methylation status of RECK, P53 ...
